Well, not really but I was standing with $2 million worth of underwater research equipment!
This story is about SRI International deciding to open a branch in St. Petersburg. You may not have heard of SRI, but chances are that you know what they've done. The company is responsible, at least partially, for everything from the computer mouse to HDTV and even the internet.
Today, we showed viewers an AUV (automated underwater vehicle) and an ROV (remote-operated vehicle), both worth about $1 million each.
I asked SRI's Director of Marine Operations, John Kloske, to pose with me for a picture with the goods!
